REINVESTED in Ethiopia

Every birr stays local—funding infrastructure and creating even more jobs.

PROCESSED in Ethiopia

We turn cassava into high-quality flour and use the waste to produce animal feed.

SOLD in Ethiopia

Our products reach schools, markets, clinics, bakeries—even shelters and prisons.

How It Works

It Starts With Farmers

Every strong value chain starts at the root. At Love Ethiopia, we equip cassava farmers with contracts, tools, and training—so they can grow more, earn more, and strengthen their communities.

All Profits Stay in Ethiopia

  • 100% of earnings are reinvested locally
  • No payouts to founders or outside investors, ever
  • Funds fuel farmer growth, infrastructure, and jobs

Farmers Are At the Center

  • Sourced from smallholder cassava growers
  • Long-term contracts and fair pricing
  • Training and support to boost yield and income

Nothing Goes to Waste

  • By-products turned into livestock feed
  • Every element of cassava is productively used
  • Circular & sustainable

Laying the Groundwork

We Start by Listening

We didn’t show up with answers. We started by listening.

Over months in the field, we met with farmers, local leaders, and government partners to co-design a model built on trust, relevance, and long-term vision.

Empowering Farmers, Close to Home

Kangaten Cassava Agro-Processing Center

Cassava has been grown in Southern Ethiopia for over 60 years. Yet for most farmers, processing remained informal, small-scale, and manual—until now.

A Turning Point in Kangaten:

  • Local farmer innovation is driving a shift toward mechanized processing
  • A 2024 export deal opened new international markets
  • 300+ hectares of cassava now under cultivation in Omo Valley—with more underway
  • Seed stock from current harvests could support 6,000+ hectares in the future
Our Kangaten facility is designed to process over 1,000 hectares of cassava annually, producing premium flour and animal feed.

By working directly with farmers & local aggregators, we ensure traceability, consistent supply, and shared prosperity.

What’s Next

We’ve built the foundation.

Now we grow, move product, and transform livelihoods.
This is how we deliver real impact and help to reduce food insecurity.

Frequently Asked Questions

If you have a question we missed, please get in touch with us through the "Let's Talk" button above.

We start by listening. We spend months in the field meeting with farmers, local leaders, and government partners to identify regions with high potential and shared commitment.

We focus on staple crops with strong local and export demand. Our first major initiative centers on cassava, with future projects exploring maize and other priority crops, based on our conversations with the Southern President.

Farmers gain access to reliable markets, better prices, and training. They’re part of a system that values their work and gives them a long-term path to grow.

Love Ethiopia operates as a business—yet one designed for impact. We employ a profit-for-purpose model, where earnings are reinvested to generate more jobs, strengthen supply chains, and enhance food security. The investors, shareholders, and global experts do not take a single birr from the efforts in Ethiopia.
